What are the benefits of location recording over studio recording?
1 - The chosen venue may have acoustics that inspire a much more enthusiastic production and a more natural sounding finish than a studio recording. For example, a choir will sound more natural in a cathedral and an orchestra would sound more lively and natural in a concert hall.
2 - For some ensembles (especially the larger ones) location recording can be the only viable and cost effective way to record.
3 - You can’t beat a live audience if you’re trying to achieve that real life sound. It’s always a lot harder to try and re-create an atmosphere that isn’t actually there.
4 - If you are performing anyway, you don’t have to worry about booking another week in the studio, we will be right there to capture the performance on the day!
